It contains your mod-setup and starting without it present will re-create the file and start the game vanilla. Rimworld is using all available RAM + the maximum of your system created paging file. There is a workaround by creating a larger custom paging file (google it if you want to try it) or waiting for Tynan to acknowledge that something is massively screwed up with texture loading since the last patch.Try worldgen.
