The Gypsum Hills Scenic Byway is a beautiful pastoral drive between Medicine Lodge and Coldwater displaying an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers amidst the beautiful red Gypsum Hills. The red comes from the iron in the soil that "rusts" when exposed to the air.
