Abroad TP only works on non-home nodes where you DON'T dominate in. Domestic TP works on your home node, and nodes that you dominate in. Provincial TP works in every province that you own.Alexandria or Crimea would be decent nodes to protect trade in, especially as the former is gonna leak into Venice and Genoa (unless you conquer all of italy too).
