Typically you can find the location of that override in the owners manual. So, the major no-start issue WAS caused by a failed bushing on the shift cable. I see there was an announcement of a recall on this issue; not sure what the latest status is and what Ford is doing about it.I think your problem locating the fuse may be because Ford refers to the lights you are describing as "PARK" lamps, instead of "TAIL" lamps. The PARK fuse is Fuse #22 (15 Amp) located in the Smart Junction Box (SJB) in the center of the dash. HINT: This same fuse also protects the circuits your front park lamps, if they are working, the fuse is not blown.

We opened the hood today and found a mouse had just had babies and has been packing dog food in the engine. I just bought my vehicle a month ago and is out of warranty.Parasitic drain/draw. I disconnected the battery about 4 hours after driving it, contrary to the latest recommendations as to how to do it without disconnecting the battery, but if I don't do it for this test I'll have to disconnect it if it's not driven every day.
