Not sure about the issue (I have a sunday driver and haven't run into this), but whenever you try to move, do not turn the steering wheel. Take off in a straight line and build some momentum. It is almost impossible to start driving otherwise. Moving in a straight line is the only way to start moving. Some people argue that sunday driver is like a "cruise-control" so you never drive dangerously fast, but just pressing shift+w a couple of times is enough to do just that. imo it is one of the worst traits in the game. You shouldn't grab speed demon. But you shouldn't grab sunday driver either. Despite the fact that I lost my longest run (8 months in) character due to a crash, I will always advocate FOR speed demon if your build has the point for it. I don't blame the trait, I blame my lack of skill in not properly managing myself. It's not. Sunday driver inhibits you while speed demon enables you. To be inhibited means to be blocked (in this case from going beyond 30MPH), whereas to be enabled means to have the capability and to be tempted (in this case to go to 120MPH). If you want to control your speed, turn on cruise control. This makes speed demon very manageable. To turn it on, press shift + W. To adjust it's speed, press it again to raise your speed by 5mph or do shift+ s to decrease it by the same amount.
