While the TV is on the black screen, press and hold the Reset button (located on the back of the TV) until the TV shows a recovery screen (press and hold for about 30 seconds).Select "Settings" in Home Screen. Select "Audio". Select "S/PDIF and ARC". (Auto detect) (Your tv is probably on "Auto detect" which seems to be automatically sensing a headphone jack which is no longer inserted.) Select "PCM-Stereo" or "Dolby Digital". This fixed the problem for me.
