I have the mk2 BFH ELW and it’s so so smooth, I was using a BCM 12.5 and with the 14.5 lighter barrel profile it is sooo much easier to run drills and point and shoot, it’s much much smoother with the midlength gas compared to the 12.5 carbine. Barrel life estimates are usually calculated by powder charge vs bore diameter. 300 blk has a larger bore and less powder. If you shoot subsonics, it will be even longer. Unless you are going for extreme precision (and if you are, 300 blk is a bad choice), you can probably get 40,000+ out of ...
Bcm mk2 in my opinion are the best uppers. However I rather have just a stripped version than complete. But by far my favorite. Barrel fits extra tight to the point you have to freeze and heat to slide barrel in. I was fortunate enough to run across a the stripped bcm lowers and bout a year and a half ago a stripped mk2.This is their standard 14.5" BFH LW barrel before the ELW's were released. Interesting to note is how quickly this upper chews through gas rings. Some friends have experienced horrible accuracy with BCM BFH and SS barrels, and they were using much better glass and ammo than my wife runs.
