Howdy, Just got the old 350 diesel fresh injectors and rebuilt pump back on, and this is what I'm dealing with. First video is right after I got fuel bled up to the injectors. Set my cell phone on the tire and didn't realize it fell over, then fell to the floor, but the audio is the important thing.Of course the Farmall 450 had to have the torque pulled while the John Deere 70 lugged right on though. Problems ... Well, like was said the hydraulics are weak. The pumps go out. The levers get loose. The steering is more like power steering assist. Original manifolds were different and part of the 400 had bigger piston pin bushings than a 281.The difference is in the intake & exh. manifold. The 400 didn't pre-heat the intake mixture as much as the old M series did and that allowed an extra HP or two. V8s will not develop as much torque at low speeds (1200-1800rpm) as the Chevy and Ford sixes.
