The Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) is no longer admitting students into its Contemporary East Asian Studies master’s program. The program has been moved to Global & International Studies as a Contemporary East Asia concentration. Information concerning this program is only for currently enrolled students. CEAS Degree Program.The Asian Studies Center is a global resource for research and education about Asia, as well as a regional center for building Asian connections. In partnership with over 100 affiliated faculty from across the university, we develop innovative research, foster community engagement, and create rigorous academic programming.About. The East Asian Collection can trace its beginning back to 1950. In that year Prof. Ssu-Yu Teng was appointed to teach Chinese, Japanese, and Far Eastern history at Indiana University. He received support from the University for the acquisition of titles listed in a 36-page, single-spaced, catalogue.
