Better in almost every way, the 3800 V6 offered improved head flow and a hydraulic roller cam, but ditched the intercooled turbo for an Eaton M90 supercharger. We noticed that when revving a couple cylinders would cut out completely and were somewhat flaky at idle, AHA!!Prep the intalke gasket. Use hylomar in the spray. Use just a small amount of the right stuff around the water jackets. lightly coat the intake areas with hylomar. Install gasket.
