You can find the data box in two easy places. The first spot is in the northwestern mushroom forest. Turn on the beacon to lifepod 13, go to it, then head straight northeast and you will find a wreck sitting in a tree. The other one is in the sparse reef. Go to lifepod 19 and look around near it.
