The magic combo imo for recoil management is the H2 buffer, mid length gas system 14.5in barrel (.750 gas port is fine, you don't need a smaller one) and a muzzle break of decent design (I keep coming back to the BCM one because it somewhat does flash hiding as well. Buffer weight should mainly be used to treat reliability problems which the A5 does very well. What about plopping a h2 buffer in there with the standard carbine spring? I can't really see a 16" BCM barrel needing anything over an H even with XM193 unless it's being shot suppressed.
