After attempting a loop, I found my gear (5 total fortify alchemy enchantments, thanks to the Falmer Helmet) hard-capped at 29%. This meant my fortify enchanting potions were capped at 37%, and would not make my gear go further than 29%.Using alchemy, enchanting and smithing in tandem to achieve very high numbers is a base game mechanic. The “exploit” is perhaps how potions and enchantments can be made to infinite strength by looping alchemy and enchanting. I don’t think this is what OP is talking about, and it is patched by the unofficial patch.These values were obtained using only 4 pieces for enchanting. Helmet, Hand, Amulet and Ring. No Falmer Helmet glitch or restoration loop was used. I'll provide numbers for 4 variations and accompany some values for each one for reference. Standard Alchemy and Enchanting loop is used.
