The "stage 1" is a torque cam. Wont help much on top you want a 2 or 3 to make more on top. Or better yet call web camshafts. Most every other bike, they stage 1 is for low-end torque. However with the xr650l being tuned from the factory for low-end, hot cams only makes a more aggressive cam and only the stage 1 for the xr650l.Both tell roughly similar stories, with the perpetrator roles inverted.
