Sep 6, 2021 · Hi folks, it's been a while since I was on the forum but seeing as I just broke my CJ, I thought I'd post the story and get some thoughts. 47 CJ2a that's been running pretty well for the last 1000miles. The engine looked recently rebuilt when I got it (1000miles ago) and I haven't touched it at all. It usually runs a little warm - 200F on a hot ... Most of the wear on this assembly is in the straight ahead position for obvious reasons. That is why for set up/adjustment you turn it to the mid/high position. If you set it at the straight ahead position you could get binding during turns. This is especially true if using the old worm. '48 CJ-2A #184135 Lefty.This is the mounting bolt that holds the bed firmly to your Jeep. Then there are two braces that attach to your bumper and extend 45 degrees up to the floor of the new bed. Early CJ-3A frames and M-38 frames have the tabs for installing bottom mounted radiators like the CJ-2A has. Q: what oil filter element does the CJ-2A use? A: depends on which filter canister assembly you have. Over the years, 5 different canisters were used, calling for 4 different elements.
