I got past the tonal lock without any problems, talked to Katria and picked up the first Aetherium Shard, which obviously adds the objective of finding the remaining shards. I ended up smithing Dwarven Arrows and quickly got my smithing level to 100. atherial crown allows you to have two standing stones but takes helmet slot.
