The optimal carrier battleship is almost the same design, but swaps the centre module to get two hangar slots (do not swap out the X slot). A ratio of two artillery to one carrier is considered optimal against AI fleets. It only requires the standard models and names - it just adds more flexibility to your ship design choices allowing you to have a true carrier or torpedo focus - and to have better point defenses on your ships to deal with those enemies who do go heavy missile and carrier. ... It is a myth that everything between corvettes and battleships is useless. Pvp is played mostly with destroyers and some cruisers. That just shows, that thise ship types are good. The best weapon in the game is the neutron launcher.Yes. They got buffed/fixed up quite a bit in 2.6, including having proper engage ranges now. On battleships, late in the game. They can protect your battleship fleet from torpedo corvettes. Just swap the artillery core for the carrier core and leave everything else the same. 4 carriers, 22 artillery battleships and a titan is a solid fleet composition for late game. 31.Group 1: 1 Spinal Mount Artillery Battleship + 2 dedicated Carriers. This gives 6 H slots, 6 L slots, 1 X slot, and 3 M slots. We will ignore the P and S slots since they are pretty useless. Group 2: 3 Spinal Mount Carrier Battleships. This gives 6 H slots, 3 L slots, and 3 X slots.Plus, battleships can only mount 4-5 small and medium slots max per ship; destroyers & corvettes in particular will hit hard, especially since the default endgame corvette template for AIs is always going to be the neutron e.torp design, the one thing which actually stacks up slightly favourably against 6M plasma cruisers, the current meta-ship.One of my favorite aspects of the film is the anachronistic ship design. Since the film is basically R. L. Stevenson's Treasure Island in space, the ships look like classic 19th-century vessels - wooden hulls and all. This mod brings those same wooden vessels to Stellaris so you can relive the Golden Age of Sail. Realism be damned!Stellaris Combat Rebalance has a new meta. The ideal ratio is 1 battleship to 0 cruisers to 0 destroyers to 0 corvettes.A fleet of 50+ corvettes, more if you can afford them. Weapon loadout whatever works, but try to get them to 90% evasion. Then the rest of your fleets are battleships and titans with only your long range weaponry. The goal is for your corvettes to evasion tank the enemy fleet while your BBs do the killing from a distance.PSA: Menacing ships do ***NOT*** cost minor artifacts if you slap archeo-tech on them. It's a common question as to what the good ship designs are, and here's my copy/paste answer: Focused Arc Emitter / Carrier / Marauder / Whirlwind ...So, I see a fair few guides talking about how to get good ships, usually by bragging about getting Titans by 2230 and repeatables by 2250. Once Battleships are unlocked, its all battleships at a a 3/1 artillery/carrier ratio, with about 30 torpedo corvettes. 1 titan per fleet when those get unlocked.Unless I'm missing something, three Advanced Afterburners (+20% each) should be enough to outrun cruiser even if both use DMT: Battleship: 100 speed, +125% DMT, +60% x3 AA = 285 speed. Cruiser: 120 speed, +125% DMT = 270 speed. And even if speed isn't high enough to outrun, it still extends the time necessary for enemy to close the distance.Autocannons will tear apart corvettes while kinetic batteries are battleship/station killers.
