With it in the 6:00 position put the slide back on and return the lever to normal. Lock the slide back and work the lever to the 6:00 and back up multiple times.

Last night I removed the FCU from my P320 Compact for cleaning. When I was done cleaning, I reinserted the FCU into the frame (easy enough). The difficulty I have is getting the takedown pin back into the hole. I had to be pretty forceful, while turning it, to get it through. The issue is, there is a small piece of sheet metal blocking the hole.

The problem I was referring to is only in X5/Legion where the take down lever can shear at the newer deeper magazine safety notch that is not present on 228/229.
