Really the only difference is the crit chance, but keep in mind that crits don’t just have control effects on shield, they do significant damage. And Coulson’s kit is all about his opening nuke that kills the damage dealer. A lot of the top war alliances have been using the SHIELD/Inhumans/Surfer war defense team, which is certainly a better use of Coulson overall, but personally I have to use my Surfer on offense.
