If you take all the items and help the one stuck you'll lose 25 morale. Morale has an impact on your recruitment and income. I went into Leper's Smile with nothing to heal with except 1 scroll of "Cure Serious Wounds" [it was to test outcomes. It is NOT part of the solution] .
