Ideally since Venus is a low level mission you can get Pilfering Swarm Hydroid and a Nekros to increase your polymer farming but oxium can't be affected by either since the dang thing just explodes. I'm not sure Nekros can desecrate Oxium birds. I ran with both Nekros and Hydroid with Pilfering Swarm and Nekros wouldn't let me desecrate after killing an oxium bird, when it was the only thing that died around me.
