Dark Souls 1 has a lot of calm music pieces and uses violins in at least half of it's soundtracks. Overall, Dark Souls has a very destinct selection of music for each area and boss. The themes fit both the lore and visuals of that moment.I personally feel like Dark Souls III is the Best Souls game so far. It sticks to its themes of cycles and hopelessness while also feeling like a truly epic journey. Rising out of the dirt to fulfill your purpose.
