Ingots always repair the same amount, no matter what modifiers you add. Diamonds, emeralds, netherite, and iron's trait all increase durability, meaning they increase the repair cost. That said, 20 ingots sounds excessive, by my math the tool you listed should only take about 11 ingots to fully repair.The best thing for repairable, and auto repair, tinkers tools is the RF modifier. The RF modifier can be applied by adding a RF storage block to the tool. Most any will work, my personal favorite is the ender io capacitors. The size of RF storage block permitted is determined by the durability of the base tinkers tool.

My favorite pick would probably be Supremium head, magical wood handle and paper/chocolate binding. In other packs you have to use magical wood for all the parts, not sure about if this works in eternal though. Idk about the melee weapons, I'll take a look later.
