Looking around online, I discovered that for the Tonitrus, the initially weak Arcane scaling is amped up substantially by the buff, and I was curious if something similar might be true for Logarius' Wheel. The Wheel's base Arcane damage is 50 at max rank, plus 0.56 (B) scaling, which pales in comparison to its physical damage.

For Wheel build you have 2 option. Rapid Poisson gems (useful only Vs bosses not immune to rapid poisson) Flat arcane gems (like +9% arcane or physical and +60-70 flat arcane add). These gems boost badly transformed "multi-hit" attacks: Dash+R1, R2 combo, backstep+R2 (all are best wheel moveset attacks).So adept and heavy abyssal gems are a good idea if you want to maximize the physical damage.
