(I also think Trudeau's Gettysburg: A Testing of Courage is a better book than this.)Noah Andre Trudeau has written some excellant Civil War books. His exploration of the battle of Gettysburg is my favorit one volumn treatment of that battle. Other books of his, such as Bloody Roads South and his Petersburg books are also top shelf classics IMO. I'm disapointed that this book isn't. The subject matter is different of course.
