Aug 3, 2017 · Posted August 3, 2017. The mantis is a good tame for the simple fact that it is faster than the anky. If you are racing another player for the metal nodes, the mantis is the way to go. The weight is the biggest problem with them so spend some time and level straight weight. Taming in Atlas is the mechanic whereby players can tame and befriend some of the creatures of the world. Creatures can be found in their logical regions and gain bonuses from being kept in their natural Biomes, although they can be transported on Ships to far off lands if desired.
