LECOM tends to interview from August until April, with a number of acceptances being offered up until the first week of classes. Interviews are in a group format with you and around 5 other candidates being interviewed by 2 faculty.

There are fewer people than you might expect who are willing to actually COMMIT to primary care. A lot of people want to talk about it, but also want to keep their options open. So, if you really want it, it is certainly worth the try.My contention with LECOM was more that the school is designed solely to pump out general dentists and offered little by way of externship or research opportunities. They said at the interview if you did want to specialize that they would keep your grades on file, but it didn't seem like an atmosphere in which that was encouraged.…
