A simple fluid change is all that is needed, drain out the fluid, then replace the same amount of fluid you drained, with the proper fluid for the cars make and model.toyota went with a sealed transmission like the 3rd gen tacoma. from what i have read, its to cut down on clueless owners pouring oil into the transmission tube filler instead of the oil fill tube. personally if its factory sealed and correctly filled, really dont need to touch it for at least 60k miles anyway.
