When I finally got an S-class, it was 185 damage, and after purchase it ticked up to 189 damage. So the upgrade track for solars seems to be weird, I don't know if that is intentional or if I am missing something but it is what it is. S class drops 1-3 for 100% chance, but A class drops 0-2 for a >50% chance, so scrapping A class ships and expecting about 1 per ship is more practical than waiting for S class. Best way would be camping in a Korvax T3 station, so you have maxed chance to spawn an A explorer, which is usually below 1.5M, for efficient investment.All the ships will be the same models that the system has in vanilla, just S class guaranteed.
