The Wide AM is normal spacing, the M is centered between the A and E. The Close AM the A and the M are almost touching and the M is not centered. I strongly suggest you check all the markers because die polishing can make it hard sometimes. On Close AM cents the initials are farther away from the memorial than on the Wide AM cents.On January 10th, 2009 this coin was found by Billy Crawford in a coin roll. This is the only known Billy noticed the coin had a strange obverse that appears to be a struck through. Next, he flipped the coin over and noticed that it had a rotated reverse. About 55-60 degrees.
