I doubt they enforce the deadline but make sure you take it. You do not want to place into pre-calc because that's ironically one of the harder math classes here and it wastes two semesters of your life. It is a placement test, not a preview of math courses at Rutgers (NB). It is designed to identify if you are prepared for a particular course. See below for sample questions. I understand the desire to avoid it as per its notorious reputation at Rutgers. With that being said, you want an adequate foundation for calculus 1, which you definitely gotta take.
